Asher was a three sport athlete in high school, using running as a means to get fit for team sports. In college, her deep love for running began to grow and she committed to racing at Missouri State University. She continued her track and cross country career post-collegiately, before making a full transition to the trails in 2016.
Asher began her career coaching youth at Bellarmine Preparatory School, where she coached four successful seasons prior to entering physical therapy school. As a physical therapist, her heart broke for injured runners in the clinic - most of which were self-coached or followed a training plan that only focused on outcome goals, without consideration for long-term enjoyment and health. Caring for each runner was personal, as she had experienced burnout and hormone depletion from similar training in the past. She wanted to help others avoid this way-to-common experience and so, made the transition to coaching adult runners of all levels and terrains.
In addition to providing online personalized coaching focused on long-term health and happiness, Asher offers preventative in-person care to athletes in Issaquah, Washington, as well as group running programs and educational seminars to the corporate population.
